Comments

The baptism register at this time appear not to have been recorded chronologically and was probably written multiple years after the occurence of the events. The full entry for Joseph reads "Joseph Chambers the sonne of Jeremy Chambers & Rachel his wife was borne the tenth day of March 1649: Sarah their Daughter was borne in April 1653". This entry is written in the same hand and ink so must have been written after 1653. It is under a heading titled "Anno Domini 1646" and is followed by two entries recording baptisms in 1646. It looks like the entry for the Chambers baptisms has been inserted at a later date in the wrong location. Since Jeremy and Rachel strut did not marry until Jun 1650 I am making the assumption that the year of 1649 for Joseph's baptism was an error recorded three years after the baptism occurred and that the baptism occurred 10 Mar 1750/1.
