The year got off to a frustrating start when a marriage certificate I had ordered for Mary Jane Palmer turned out to have the wrong father's name, leaving an unresolved mystery I never fully cleared up. GRO certificates arrived for the Joseph Ximenes and Bridget Palmer marriage and the birth of Dennis Dineen, which prompted me to work through the full set of Dineen baptism records from Caerleon. I also received Tracing your Cork Ancestors and began investigating the Ballymartle Catholic registers at the National Library of Ireland. Towards the end of the year death certificates for Frances Snowling and several Guiver and Snowling relatives finally resolved a question about the parentage of Eliza and Emily Snowling.
